Nearly 3 hours long and not a dull moment in the movie. George C. Scott totally disappears into the role of General Patton. It's a very unapologetic movie based on arguably the most important years of Patton's life during the 2nd World War. We see the tank battles, the victories and setbacks, and more importantly we see the character of Patton. George C. Scott brings his patriotism, lunacy, and questionable behavior right to center stage for our viewing pleasure.
Typical American War movie that was awarded with lots of Oscars. So much in the name of Patriotism. Its a good movie nonetheless. Great cinematography and above all a brilliant performance from George Scott. One of the finest I've seen as a ruthless, eccentric man.
Not a personal favorite of mine, but a great movie nonetheless. Patton is an interesting person who is played brilliantly by George C. Scott. There is rarely a dull moment in Patton, even though the movie is almost 3 hours long.
