   Very rushed. I wasn't a big fan of Sally Hawkins' Anne, which is probably in part because the story moved so quickly that her character wasn't properly established and just came off as annoying. The film also solely focused on her relationship with Wentworth and missed out on all the other characters, relationships, and family drama that I loved in the book. And what was up with the bizarre POV camera technique?

   I've read book first then I've watched adaptation, seems fine to me although it's noticeable that it's rushed, if had it had any faults I didn't them because I was mostly blinded by Rupert Penry-Jones hotness. 10 years 9 months ago
