It sets out as a promising story about ethics and small town politics with an ambiguous protagonist. But in the end it gets as boring, as predictable and as safe as I could possibly imagine. It doesn't gets scientific enough for you to really care about anything. The terribly cheesy ending ruined the movie for me. Nice cinematography and nice music. 10 years 2 months ago -

It's a below average Gus Van Sant, but still you can find lots of good qualities.
