Dear Aamir Khan,

You have boyish features, but are obviously not 20 years old. Denim and sneakers do not hide this fact. As you are now approaching 50, please consider playing something other than college students.

... Also please try being in movies that are 1.5-2 hours long, the more tolerable length for movies in general, and Bollywood movies, in particular.

Lol, how did this end up in the best of 2000's list. The plot is underdeveloped. There's barely any significant dialogue. Some of the songs are okay, but that's to be expected from a Bollywood movie. The characters are uninteresting and there's not a single outstanding performance. Boring scene-song-boring scene...etc.

I think this might be the worst film ever made. I'm not joking. Makes heavy handed Soviet propaganda films look like they were directed by the subtle hand of Ingmar Bergman or Carl Th. Dreyer.

If someone want to torture me Clockwork Orange style, all they need to do is show me this film over and over again.

The most stupid, self important, pompous, ridiculous, atrocious, tasteless film I've ever seen.

How such nationalist propaganda drivel ever could be considered top list material is beyond me. There is no cinematic merit whatsoever to be traced in this coma inducing trash. It belongs at the very bottom of cinema history's crappiest films ever.

I rarely feel the need to write a comment on this site, but I feel that this movie warrants one. You might not be convinced by TheMajor's, Kasparius' and monty's comments (to name a few), but after watching the movie you will understand how soul crushingly true their words are.

The last hour of this movie felt like an eternity of roundhouse kicks to the groin. I don't know what was worse; the acting, the clichéed and meaningless dialogs, the idiotic plot or the fact that it lasted 157 minutes more than it should have.

The fact that this is a terrible movie is in itself not an issue, the issue is that this movie is currently sitting at #147 on the Top250 list with a rating of 8.6, with 44.4% of the voters (clearly insane or on some heavy medication) giving it a 10/10. Please sort yourself out!

Rant over, TLDR: Only watch this movie if you are forced to at gunpoint.

Heard so much hype about this movie. But it's quite slow and plodding, plus the dialogues come off as very cheesy sometimes (yeah, it's not the subtitles' fault).

After watching this movie I promised myself I would not watch any more Indian movies! I can't truly understand how can 49% of imdb users who watched this film gave it a 10. What a load of crap

Put your brain into neutral for this one, it's about as subtle as a sledgehammer. It certainly seems to have been written by one.
There must be one hell of an extended family attached to the production of this film because that's the only reason it's gotten 10-star votes to get it in the top 250. I'm surprised more people haven't 1-star voted it to get rid of it, it genuinely is a film that inspires that sort of resentment.
