Well, there is no way of denying the great acting in this movie, especially by Jamie Foxx.
Furthermore, the movie had some great moments and some beautiful images, particularly from the childhood of the brothers.
BUT I have to say something about the script and the way the movie was put together made it less appealing than others of the same genre. Just one example: I simply loved "Walk the Line", the Johnny Cash biopic... and when you look at the stories, both of them have a whole lot in common. Since the acting was superb in either movie it must have to do with script, editing and directing.
Not a bad movie of course, but not one I'd want to watch again.

Some beautiful moments with the music, and great performance by Foxx.However while the movie is way too long on the one the one hand, on the other hand it feels rushed at a lot of moments.
