Wow. People are sure are on their high horse over this film. What did you want? It's an entertaining, harmless, family blockbuster, with solid performances and effects. Perfectly entertaining and thoroughly shallow.
If you wanted something more than that, you shouldn't have been looking here in the first place. It's obvious what the movie is from a distance.
obnoxious little kid fighting against an obnoxious woman who owns a giant, black, shitty looking obnoxious robot. the only charming thing about this obnoxious movie was the robot. the only good thing was hugh jackman, awesome as ever, ready as the former boxing star. shittier than rocky with elements targeting the obnoxious tween white american boy. god this one sucked. disney is making worse and worse live-actions. only pixar burns with hope for me. (also the comparisons to transformers? really?)
