   because of the end, director has seen his director status suppressed and was sent to the front. very interesting movie as it is from 1944. even if its a government command.it shows how militarism was in the minds at these times but seeing it now reveals some peculiar counterpoints and a beautiful ending. great actors too. 6 years ago
