   Flam cobra

   What's the purpose ?
   Through this film, the director intends to bring a new look at widowhood by portraying characters with different opinions without expressing any judgment.

   Some characters, such as the family's cleaning lady, decide to take a step forward and remarry. While the mother, coming from a rich family, want to, quote"protect her virtue" and remain a widow. However, her brother wants to remarry her

   which shows that there are also differences of opinion on this subject even within the same social category.
   
   The scenaristic choice :
   To approach this sensitive subject, the director decided to tell his story through the eyes of Ok-hee. The little girl is unaware of any good or bad thoughts associated with widowhood and sees only her single mother in love with a single man who loves her. Why couldn't they get married and love each other if they are both single? Thus, the innocence of the young girl perfectly highlights all the senselessness of the situation.
   
   What does the end of the film bring us?
   

   Several clues in the film show us that the mother allows her feelings to emerge gently like when She replaced the picture of the dead father with the flowers that the guest gave her. However, it becomes clear that she refuses to let herself go with these feelings. The most striking evidence is when she prayed and asked God over and over to help her not to succumb to temptation. However, when the guest leaves to visit his dying mother, the mother asks Ok-hee to come with her to watch the guest leave from a distance. A sign perhaps that she hasn't given up on her feelings yet. Who knows what will happen when the guest returns?

   
   
   Conclusion :
