I never saw this as a kid (which is odd, because I loved this kind of movie and was a big fan of Ally Sheedy), but I just saw it for the first time, as an adult.
And I thought it was brilliant. Very funny, surprisingly witty.
There's one thing I did notice, though. It was billed on TV here, in Australia, as a 'family movie' and aired at 7.30pm.
The word "shit" was said repeatedly, as was "bitch", "son of a bitch" was also in there, and one character even mentioned "sporting a massive woody".
Is that unusual in family movies, or have I just not been paying attention ?
