A Western? Nah...who are they kidding? This is film noir if I've seen it...should be in the More Noirs list too...has some of the best noir players: John Payne, Dan Duryea, and Lisbeth Scott...if only it had been in black & white (there were some awful color schemes going on)
And wouldn't the town of Silver Lode have made the worst hide-and-go-seek players in the world? I swear I think Ballard hid behind a pickle one time and they missed him.... 8 years 3 months ago -

Excellent. The film the overrated High Noon could have been, should have been. If only it had High Noon’s cinematography. I agree black and white would have been a better choice, it felt televisual. However, that’s more than made up for by everything else. 2 years 5 months ago
