Nuh uhh. Do not recommend. It's long and cute but really terrible. Classic rom-com, ugly duckling scenario with some very negative connotations. I really don't like the message it gives
Basically in the very end, future segment, the protagonist AND her love interest have both become very succesfull, she's still got the same friends from when she was 'ugly' and although we aren't told what they're up to, it's pretty clear that they haven't reached anywhere near her success levels. They're little more than groupies. And they're all single. Whereas the pretty girl FINALLY gets the handsome guy that she wanted since high school and vice versa. And I'm saying FINALLY because there really was no actual reason for them not getting together at school. They were both very passive and they both liked eachother but there were so many chances for them to get together that it didn't make sense for them not to, and that's probably the biggest fault in this movie. It drags on and on on a plot point that should have and could have been resolved five minutes into the film. That and the whole pretty versus ugly thing.
