I'd forgotten it had an R rating, and while there are some genuinely funny moments, it hasn't aged well at all. If it weren't for the date rape stuff, I'd be saying how the Asian caricature was the most offensive thing about it. And what's with Hughes always pairing Molly off with the most boring (or ONLY boring) character in the show?

Didn't age well at all, were teenagers so dumb like this back then? The fact this movie was considered acceptable at that time blows my mind. I'm glad we have progressed a lot since then, slowly but we're getting there...

The sexist and racist elements rightfully disqualify it, but the way it relates the chaos and dynamics of high school to those who might have forgotten what it feels like is enjoyable. Specifically, the school bus scene and the first house party scene make you wish you were watching another movie.
