Definitely not a Hollywood film. Slow narrative, minimal plot. Not an easy film to watch and understand, but has a beautiful setup.

Emily Browning gives a great performance, and the atmosphere of coldness, alienation and ennui was very well done. However, I did feel that a lot of the dialogue was poor, and towards the end it becomes repetitive and ends abruptly. All the characters are intentionally dislikeable but they also feel very artificial.

Reminded me of Dogtooth and Eyes Wide Shut. Definitely an aesthetic feat, although I'm not so sure about the plot.

An intriguing and utterly bizarre movie. The starring actress was stunningly beautiful but her character was very hard to understand.

Noble in its attempt to bring a lens of austerity and controlled beauty to the practice and ethics of sex work, but ultimately there was too little depth or chance for emotional involvement, despite the artful surfaces. Great performances all round though.

Missed the mark slightly, some beautiful shots & terrific performance in part by Browning. Character completely lacked depth however so the impact of what happens in the film falls short..

This movie is slow and quite boring, which is surprising because of the main premise. It is a very nice film to look at, but the characters are (intentionally?) unlikable and uninteresting. I'm not sure what the plot is even supposed to be, either way it's really not worth the watch.

Incredibly boring. A beautifully shot film and Emily Browning tries her hardest, but there is nothing engaging about it, I'm not sure how you can make such a weird premise boring, but they achieved it.

I understand that not all movies are supposed to have characters you like and are supposed to make you uncomfortable but something about this movie missed the mark for me. Emily Browning gave an okay performance and she is gorgeous.. but I just felt like this movie TRIED to be "weird".
