Have to agree with everyone else here. Stupid ending, but the rest of the movie was so darn good, it totally makes up for it. Stunning visuals and special effects, great acting, intriguing plot, and a hell of a lot entertaining! Definitively worth watching in the cinema.And you got to love JJ Abrams and his lens flairs!

my favourite film!I really wasnt into sci fi before this, but this has to be one of the best movies i have ever saw. The ending ALMOST made me cry. And that is very hard to do.
Cant wait for the third one!

So far the best movie of the year, JJ is a awesome director, if he does such an amazing work with Star Wars like he did with Star Trek, Star Wars will be awesome like this movie.The cast is amazing, Pine, Cho, Pegg, Quinto, Saldana, Urban and Cumberbatch, is a great cast, Cumberbatch and Quinto are amazing in this movie, like Simong Pegg that brings more to this movie, more that he did in the first.
If this continues like this, the sequel will be awesome.

I love this movie! Especially enjoyed Benedict Cumberbatch ! Perfection of Khan, couldn't wish for better one! Made me want Khan to be a good guy.It was really fun to watch!!!!

yes, i think we all agree that the last few minutes really let us all down. i really need to start checking every movie if it has even a shred of lindelof's influence cause that guy has given me nothing but pain and misery.the rest of the movie was VERY enjoyable with a lot of cheesiness but the good, fresh mozzarella not the old one with the green and blue stuff sitting in the corner of your fridge. all the actors kill it in the movie and the special effects are spectacular and used appropriately (which is more important). jj abrams really proves his directing chops. never once was i ever bothered by all the camera angles and the lens flares, being far more engaged with what was happening which is remarkable (michael bay needs to take notes).
the ending takes 2 points off but otherwise great.

Agree with the ones that said the last 10 minutes was a letdown. Otherwise its a very good summer popcorn movie..Ps: My 1300th check.

The most fun I've ever had in cinema watching an action flick.The opening scene is brilliant, it re-introduces the well known characters perfectly. The cast to play them is fantastic. But the same could be said about the '09 movie as well, though this time there is .......
The story isn't super complicated, but it's very exciting. It's just that the movie is so well made you don't care about the plot too much (I'm not trying to say that it's poorly written, cause it definitely isn't). But characters is certainly the strongest aspect of this movie just like in the first one. And speaking of the first movie, I think this one is better (keep in mind, it's only an opinion). I can't imagine anyone disliking this film (unless of course there's some major fuck-up in the Star Trek timeline thingy that only hard core fans of the franchise will understand), it's just too great. J.J. and the rest did an incredible job.
Also, to people complaining about the ending - the only problem I had with the last 10 minutes was that it was so awesome I pissed myself. :D
Now if my comment seems too positive and vague as if I haven't seen the movie yet and I'm commenting only because I'm a huge nerd who's over-excited to see it, you should know that it's not the case. It's just that I just came back from the cinema and the movie is still in my head. Plus I loved it so much I can't come up with anything negative about it. Also I try not to spoil any plot details, cause the movie is an amazing experience and everyone should get their butts to the cinema right now!
