   Aside from the millions, what was the point of this trilogy? Why are they called Episodes VII, VIII and IX? What do they have to do with the rise and fall of the Empire and the fall and redemption of Anakin? You know! Lucas' original vision. I'm not a fan of the prequels but at least you can say what they were about and how they connected with the first movies.
   
   These new ones are a mess: The Force Awakens was a safe remake; The Last Jedi was afraid of going hard with its new ideas and didn't set up anything concrete; and The Rise of Skywalker is just damage control that clumsily tries to cram a story worthy of multiple movies into 2 hours and a half of fanboyism.

   Lots of action and special effects but Disney will want to retcon this trilogy soon enough. They brought in the original Star Wars actors and wasted them in a story that makes no sense. 3 years 5 months ago
