Absolutely superb movie! No doubt about that. Would be the best of the trilogy if it weren't for those Ewoks...Still awesome film! Most watched of the trilogy :)

Star Wars: The Muppets War in Space.
I liked The Empire Strikes Back but A New Hope and ROTJ just look like Muppet movie

It is the weakest of the original trilogy, yet is far superior than the entire prequel flops, Return of the Jedi should be regarded as a classic sci - fi film. Though I do find it to be fairly slow, and I didn't care for the kid friendly Ewoks, the final duel between Vader and son makes up for it ten fold.

A lot of fun and the Ewoks are not as grating as you remember, with the story coming to a satisfying close and the cliffhanger from the previous film well resolved. The Special Edition adds some fluff and changes some music. No need for it.

If you have grown up watching it then I feel that its flaws aren't quite as obvious, that includes the Ewoks. It is definitely not as risk-taking as the previous films but there are a lot of great scenes that make up for it. I distinctly remember watching my VHS tape with my hand on the fast forward button to move through the Emperor's mind games to see the entire space battle and Luke's eventual duel. Etched into my childhood doesn't begin to describe it.

Another good part of a classic series. Effects and look may be a little outdated but it's still good - loved the final showdown.

Luke and Darth Vader story line is probably the best thing in the history of cinema.
Sure ROTJ has some problems (many people hate ewoks), but it's still one of my favorite films of all time. Too bad George Lucas ruined it by making special edition with a lot of stupid CGI moments.
