If you have grown up watching it then I feel that its flaws aren't quite as obvious, that includes the Ewoks. It is definitely not as risk-taking as the previous films but there are a lot of great scenes that make up for it. I distinctly remember watching my VHS tape with my hand on the fast forward button to move through the Emperor's mind games to see the entire space battle and Luke's eventual duel. Etched into my childhood doesn't begin to describe it.

A lot of fun and the Ewoks are not as grating as you remember, with the story coming to a satisfying close and the cliffhanger from the previous film well resolved. The Special Edition adds some fluff and changes some music. No need for it.

I liked The Empire Strikes Back but A New Hope and ROTJ just look like Muppet movie

Absolutely superb movie! No doubt about that. Would be the best of the trilogy if it weren't for those Ewoks...Still awesome film! Most watched of the trilogy :)

Let's be honest with ourselves. This movie is for little boys, and for big boys who haven't grown up. It is campy, badly acted, badly written, terrible effects (especially the remastered scenes with the CGI). Three words to sum up just how terrible this film is: alien...dance...party.
