Simply fantastic. It sadly loses it's way narratively near the end, with the evil Warden bit, but up until then it was down right incredible. The group therapy scenes are just unbelievable treasure troves of performance. I want to see all those actors in everything. Honestly, I wish the film would've focused more on those group dynamics, because they were so powerful. 9 years 2 months ago -

Decent prison movie loaded with some excellent performances.
To be honest though, having heard so many rave reviews and recommendations, I anticipated more... perhaps I had unrealistically high expectations. Also, I suspect non British or Irish people may struggle with the thick accents.
