I really enjoyed this film, its a shame that CGI was relied on so much, a lot of scenes could've done without it =/ and there was no need for so much slow motion effects, there's nothing really impressive to show when half the action is CGI...apart from that I thought the film was epic :)If your into surreal or fantasy type films then you'll love it!

[CONTAINS SPOILERS]What can you want in an action movies? From stupidly hot girls with heavy weapons and swords, to giant samurais with machine guns, zombie steampunk nazis and alien robots in superslow and action scenes that will get you out of your chair. That's all in there with a killer soundtrack that made the hair in the back of my neck shiver. It's definitely in the top 5 movies with best visual I've ever seen.
But it's not only visuals. Zack Snyder just proved to be a genius of the new school. In his first original movie, he nailed it. If not perfectly, with few parts that could be better worked. After showing that he knows how to adapt a story in 300 and Watchmen, here, in Sucker Punch, he shows that he can also build one from nothing.
The story is amazingly original and very well told. If you didn't followed, I'm sorry, but that's your problem. You were not good enough for it. But I have to admit I was a little disappointed with the final scenes. The movie tries to self explain and give itself a bigger meaning when it wasn't necessary. It wasn't the perfect ending to the perfect action movie.
With all that in mind, I can say it's my bet for the cinematography, soundtrack and special effects for the 2012 Academy Awards. Right now, more then ever, I can say that I am a Zack Snyder fan. All that I can do now is wait for Superman =D!

As a superficial action flick it was pretty solid. Great visuals and music.The story however is beyond ridiculous and makes very little sense. The message of 'female empowerment' Snyder said is in the movie is (if it is there at all) quite undercut by the brothel setting. Not that you will care about the characters anyway.
Though if you're looking for an evening of action and explosions, this is certainly better than most other movies in the genre.

After watching this movie, I believe I got sucker punched. This is such a dumb movie on so many levels with pale acting. The director must've thought, by adding several layers of fantasy he could polish the plot. But, in the end, the movie only felt dumber with the passage of time. The only positive points about the movie would be the CGI effects and the sexy female cast. And hell even the positive points of the movie couldn't save it from utter disappointment.DavidLynchFan

Soundtrack, set design and costume design was top notch. Won't be surprised if the costume design get an academy. Acting was passable but story lacked complexity, subtlety, and was a little raw. The action choreography was also a little weak at times but also had it's moments. loved the concept, style and a lot of the ideas, especially the zombie nazis. Overall 6/10Showing items 16 – 30 of 75
