I love and cherish these stories. They remind me of being a kid at my grandma's log cabin, curled up by the fireplace, absolutely glued to the TV. The Wind in the Willows just absolutely warms my heart.

Fantastic anthology film. I have trouble choosing a favorite of the Disney package films. It’s between this one and The Three Caballeros. This is also the last one before Disney was able to scrounge up enough cash to put out another full length animated film with a quality level comparable to their pre-war films. Of the two cartoons shown, Ichabod edges over Mr. Toad but just barely. They’re both very charming and full of great characters but Ichabod has great music which makes it just a little more memorable.

Both, The Wind in the Willows and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow are excellent. The latter is a landmark of horror-comedy. Plus, Basil Rathbone and Bing Crosby are incredible as the narrators.

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow segment is in the TSZDT list, so technically this should be on 3 official lists. I know Disney used to divide their package films into shorts, but this is the actual movie it's originally from (it's half the runtime anyway). For now you can earn two checks for one.

Easily the best of Disney's package films. The Wind in the Willows is fun; The Legend of Sleepy Hollow takes a while to warm up, but once it hits Halloween it picks up considerably.

Not sure why this isn't considered part of the Disney canon. It's not awful like Black Cauldron. Is it because it tells two distinct stories?
