Desperately tries to be cool, and does show some style in many scenes, but is also aggressively quirky and unpleasantly glib. Leaves a nasty taste in the mouth.

A fun indy action film about Irish catholic vigilantes with its tongue firmly in its cheek that still means business when it counts. Really, it's Willem Defoe's gay FBI detective that makes the movie. What a great character. That, and the way the film is structured around his investigations. Very nicely done.

How does such a crappy movie get a 7.8 score on IMDB? It's not even bad in an entertaining way, just awful script, dialogue and acting.

Nice movie, good-looking brothers, Willem Dafoe's character is amazing. Maybe not the best movie ever, but just really nice and entertaining. The funny parts also worked.

Splendid classic. The storytelling is flawless and performances great allround. Delivers on all counts. Great entertainment value, but if you crave pure artistic, highbrow and heavyset dramas... go somewhere else. If you want violence and gritty humor, this is your ticket.

Btw... why diss Ron Jeremy? He was perfect in his very limited role as a underworld sleezebag, wannabe bigshot. I guess you prefer porn.
