Based on a true story of a young man who traveled to China in 1937 as a journalist, and who ended up as a headmaster of a school for orphaned and/or poor boys. He even saved their lives at great personal risk. The best part is at the end where the former boys, now men in their 60's and up, talk about their love for their teacher.
