A very enjoyable British psychic MELODRAMA thriller, directed by Maurice Elvey for Gainsborough Pictures; clearly reminiscent of contemporary Alfred Hitchcock films.
Full of quirky characters, music hall, GREAT footage from Epsom races, black and white awesomeness, mining disasters, mind-reading, train-wrecks, outrageous costumes and of course with a very good performance from CLAUDE RAINS. The other characters, played by Fay Wray, Mary Clare, Ben Field and Jane Baxter, are also interesting. 8 years 11 months ago
