One almost feels a bit of nostalgia in Wayne's character as we see him as an aging western actor. It's very poetic in the sense that as Wayne teaches these young boys to become men he is in a sense passing the reigns of western movies to a younger generation, unfortunately it wouldn't take as they started to be phased out. 7 years ago
