The star of this film is the photography. It's just a shame the actual stars feel miscast and the story is pretty underdeveloped...I still liked it for the mood and imagery, but it could've been better.

Viaplay. Classic that I find somewhat overrated. More interesting as a historic film. Two officers in Napoleon's army - one challenges all the time over the years the other due to a smaller skirmish.
what an under-appreciated little gem. the palpable tension between the two men and stunning countryside cinematography is what makes this film a winner.
a far cry from nowadays Ridley Scott
An interesting feature debut from a 40 year old who would go on to make some of the most iconic (sci-fi) films of all time. It shall serve as a good model for my mustache game.
