Much better than the critics made it out to be.
Good story. Nice character development. Great acting. Beautiful cinematography.
I'm sure it would have gathered better reviews with a celebrity director but it doesn't deserve the harsh reception.
As for people pissed that they changed the actress, give it a try. Foy goes new places with Lisbeth but it's a good thing. And if you think she's "too old" to play the part, she's pretty much the same age Mara is now anyway and Lisbeth is not one of the Simpsons, she aged quite a lot since the first book. 5 years 2 months ago

The engaging original Millenium is gone, this is just an average action film, with unremarkable acting and a plot you forget 5 minutes after seeing the film. I think it's time to put the series to rest. 5 years 1 month ago

Claire Foy is impressive and the whole thing is well-made. That being said, jumping from the first book straight to the fourth makes things a bit hollow, even for those who have seen the Swedish adaptations. And Mikael, the second most important character in the series,has the expected results when Daniel Craig is replaced with a totally unremarkable dude. 5 years 4 months ago
