If you like the sound of cars going through empty streets and water splashing and flowing... have I got the film for you. Actually this wasn't that bad after the first half hour or so. The footage starts to get really good towards the latter half of the picture. It feels like three separate sections spliced together. The first one has footage so messed around with that it's hard to tell what the film was doing other than stimulate visually or kinetically, if you will. The second does a parallel between human birth and rearing and animals dying in the slaughterhouse. Whatever. The third one and shortest is more to my liking and has tons of curious scenes from a London that no longer exists. Worth a watch, but it wasn't easy to endure. It's also cruelly funny (or funnily cruel) that the first footage that we can see clearly is a vagina leaking and giving birth and the death throes of a mutilated lamb. Also the YouTube link posted by jmar is great-- very good image quality which is a must for experimental films like this. 2 years 5 months ago -
