It's entertaining but I'll forget about this movie tomorrow. Gary Oldman's in it but they don't really use him so that's frustrating because he's such a great actor.

Jackson is always entertaining but saying "motherfucker" every sentence gets old pretty fast.

Reynolds is just Reynolds, a good comic but not a really good actor.

Hayek is very funny as Jackson's hot headed wife.

20 mins too long and of course, Samuel L. Jackson makes it worth watching and did make me chuckle quite often and I had a pretty good time ...

Had very low expectations but this was much better than expected with some good action and funny lines. Totally predictable and forgetable, Oldman and Hayek are wasted and the ending is a bit lame…..but good fun 80ies style action buddy comedy

Pure action, no real storyline and the 'buddyness' felt very forced and unatural. Not a film I'd recommend to anyone.

Great chemistry between the leads. Loved it. Highly recommend. If you want art, go to a gallery.

The plot's nothing fantastic, but the amazing action scenes and the phenomenal chemistry of Reynolds and Jackson make this well worth the price of admission.

Watched the sequel, didn't even remember this one. Probably won't remember the sequel in a while either.

Better than the trailer. The leads found eachother geographically very quickly after separation many times... plausible? Not really. A bit too long, but hey - no big deal when L. Jackson and Reynolds dialogues r great, they must have so fun at work!!
Who will remember this a while after seeing it?

The Hitman's Bodyguard provides a competent but not very memorable action vehicle for Ryan Reynolds (as a down-on-his-luck security expert) and Samuel Jackson (an assassin who must testify at The Hague) who most definitely play their usual screen personas. And while their star power (and that of Selma Hayek) is what keeps the boat afloat, it's also part of the problem. There's just very little here I haven't seen before aside from the specific premise. The action is nicely shot, but rare is the choreography that's anything but routine (the hardware store fight comes closest, I guess). So when the actors give a performance that's exactly like their other performances on top of the formulaic action runaround, well, there's not a whole lot to recommend. I mean, it's perfectly fine, but no more than that.

Seemed like a movie written by a 17 year old for 17 year olds, or 12 year old me. Didn't like it at all.

Filled almost all the action comedy clichés. It only missed the pot smokers/coffee shop in Amsterdam. Which actually is a good thing. Amsterdam is is so much more than hookers and pot tbh.

Best buddy movie I've seen in a long time. Jackson's in excellent form and Reynold's continues his run of performances.

Salma Hayek made the whole movie. Without her it would have been unbearable to watch, haha. It was a surprise to see Richard E Grant in an episodic role of a cocaine crazed businessman, wish they'd pursued that part of the story further or maybe added more guest appearances.
Poor Oldman, people cast him solely for the name nowadays. He barely had any scenes.
Jackson is great but brings nothing new to the table.
Reynolds is just meh as usual.
Not worth going to the cinema in my opinion, best rented online or smth.

Pretty good action and Salma Hayek is great, but there isn't great chemistry between the leads and Oldman isn't given much to do.
