Like most fans of the original series, I was immensely disappointed by this movie adaptation. I admire that Shayamalan tried to fit so much of the original story into the movie, but in the end it was just too much. If I had been in his shoes I would have rolled up my sleeves and cut every scene that was not absolutely necessary to the main plot.nie
Probably what made it seen as a horrible movie for many people is the short time it had to tell the full story. In my opinion, this movie tried to be as faithful as it could be and the actors chosen seen pretty alike to the characters of the animated version wich made me glad. I dont think the acting was lacking just, like I said, there was no time to develop the hole story. The special effects weren't bad at all, but the movements of the benders were sometimes too slow, the waterbenders were fine though.It made me think that a series of this could've been more interesting watching wich would give the chance to improve every part that didn't please our high expectations.
