Amazing effects in this movie and remarkable for the fact that the production actually purchased a soon-to-be-scrapped ship and then proceeded to SINK it during the filming...talk about pressure to get it right on the first take! I've always admired Robert Stack in "The Untouchables" and even in the first thing I ever saw him in (Unsolved Mysteries) and he does a great job as the beside himself husband in a desperate situation. His wife in the movie goes a little bit too much to the melodramatic side, but with disaster movies, I assume that's to be expected. If you're a fan of this genre, this is one to seek out. I'd rank it as the poor man's "The Poseidon Adventure." 9 years 3 months ago -

When I was a young child, I saw a scene on television that I've never forgotten. But I didn't know what movie the scene was from, and I've been waiting to see if I'd ever see it again. I figured it must be a movie about the Titanic. Well, this is the movie and it's not about the Titanic. I didn't expect this film to be so riveting and suspenseful, but it is. Thumbs up. 11 months 2 weeks ago -
