It did have quite a few really good jokes, and it started very strong. However, I feel like the last third of the film just dragged, partly from having too many predictable elements and fewer jokes. When characters such as
On the plus side, I never really cared for Robin or Alfred, but they were surprisingly funny in this.

Really enjoyed this movie but have to say I thought it was aimed more at adults than children. But the best DC film in a long time.jamesblakeewing
I give it 3/5 snake clowns.justwannaboogie
If you liked The Lego Movie this won't disappoint.demagogo
either this movie is really good or i'm just a straight up normieyukononun
I loved the Lego Movie, and I loved the Lego Batman character. When I heard about the movie coming out I was stoked, but upon viewing it I was left disappointed.Batman, Alfred and Robin were brilliant. The best scenes were the banter between them, especially at the manor.
The graphics were beautiful, and very fluid. Some good jokes that got a chuckle or two out of me.
Unfortunately my complaints outnumbered my praise, especially with
Barbara's changes were bizarre. First her and Jim undergo a racial transformation, then she replaces him as commissioner, and THEN she becomes Batman's love interest. She's also apparently an uber badass (unless Batman's not around, then she's suddenly weak and defenseless) who can fly jets and kick arse using any weapon. It felt awkward and forced, as though she was mainly there for the "female empowerment" factor than to be a good side-character.
The movie began to drag on halfway through, as the jokes became less frequent and the pacing began to slow down. The dramatic scenes were nicely done, but the other scenes took forever to get to the point.
My biggest complaint, however, is with the villains. As Rasheru mentioned, the Batman universe has a rich and diverse cast with many colourful villains. So why they decided to make characters such as Voldemort and King Kong the main villains is beyond me. They were completely out of place, and felt incredibly forced.
Honestly, I must wanted what I saw in the original trailer. Batman having a banter with Alfred in his manor, while fighting Joker and dealing with Robin. That's all. Why was it too much to ask for?
I know that it's an incredibly unpopular opinion to have, but I just wish that it was better.

I feel like there was decent referential joke potential passed up by not having Ralph Fiennes's Alfred fight Voldemort at the end.Coolmovieguy
Pretty disappointing after Lego movie. Essentially just a super hero movie, for kids. References to other series gets passed off as comedy,.Siskoid
Lego Batman is a visual feast that had me laughing before even the first studio logo, and crying by the end with a message I personally responded to and that I found the perfect commentary to the dark vision of Batman we've been getting in live action. It's got something for everyone and pays tribute to every version of Batman. If you liked Batman '66, you'll like this movie. If you liked Christopher Nolan, you'll like this movie. If you liked Batman '89, you'll like this movie. If you like Batman comics (any era), you'll like this movie. If you liked the Super-Friends, you'll like this movie. If you liked the original Lego Movie, you'll like this movie. If you like the Lego video games, you'll like this movie. If you have a heart, you'll like this movie. No, strike that, you'll LOVE this movie. And it's got some great rewatch value - I know *I* certainly didn't catch every joke and reference! So yeah, my favorite Batman movie of all time.dtechman
If you like anything about Batman, you will love this movie.Ray Anselmo
It was more fun than I thought it would be, but it did suffer from a tendency to try and cram in every possible joke. 6.5/10Emiam
8/10Hahaha! Wonderful adult humor beneath the childrens' story.
