Seems I'm the only one but I thought it was unpleasant and uninteresting almost from start to finish. Just as I was starting to be curious about the accused dude,
. So things can only go one way now. I suppose it didn't have some of the more common clichés, but it didn't really replace them with anything. Just more drinking, more angst, and throwing more plot points in your face. Guess it's not bad for fans of the genre, but would not recommend to casuals like myself.

Having read all of Michael Connelly's books, I thought the adaption was perfect. Casting great, pace was just right to allow for the plot twists, without telegraphing. 12 years 9 months ago -
