   I just finished what is perhaps my fortieth or so viewing, and it was as good as ever. So bloody entertaining.
   
   I feel both the first and second instalment of this trilogy garner a lot of flak, for reasons I can't quite understand (the third, however, was abysmal, and its derision is certainly warranted). I get the same sort of kick from parts one and two-particularly the first part-that I do when I watch the Indy films. The criticism flung at this trilogy could be rightly applied to the IJ movies. A lot of the time, I simply think it's the unnecessary putting down of a film that has not quite reached 'classic' status.
   
   I'd go as far as to say that in another decade or so, this'll be one of those legendary, light-hearted, somewhat self-deprecating adventure pictures that just everyone loves. Were it not for the horrendous conclusion to the trilogy (its only black mark, if you ask me), the films would've gradually accrued status until they ranked near the IJ movies (but not the last one, as that was bollocks). 8 years 6 months ago
