It's overrated yeah, that why loads of people watch it that wouldn't normally watch romances, so yeah It's going to get some bad reviews, but I loved this, maybe I'm just a hopeless romantic, but it was wonderful, and extremely sad at the end because I've had love ones that couldn't remember who I was.
i wish the notebook was a person so i could punch in the face. one of the most insanely awful movies i have had the misfortune of seeing. i totally buy that when i'm 80 my nursing home is going to want to help me get laid one last time, yep.
Well, it wasn't as ridiculous as the other movies based on Sparks' novels... The story was cute, but I didn't really like the characters and the storytelling seemed to lack something. Could've been better with a better director. Maybe it's just 'cause I don't idolize this kind of romance and passion, but I wasn't even close to tears. Still, as far as romantic movies go, this wasn't the worst.
On a side note; Gosling was damn gorgeous with the beard.
