Not bad. The movie is quite appealing and entertaining most of the time, the actors are great - I especially liked Robert Duvall as Watson. Liked the idea of Holmes meeting Freud and the whole drug issue.
There are some scenes I found a little illogical, especially for a Sherlock Holmes movie -
and there are some modern film / series versions of the Holmes stories that I definitely prefer; but all in all it was sweet and interesting to watch.

The idea of bringing Freud and Sherlock Holmes together is excellent and the script combines rather deftly mystery with comedy. It would have benefited from a less perfunctory direction, but it is nonetheless very entertaining and one of the best entries in the Sherlock Holmes' film canon. 10 years 6 months ago
