it's an okay film but i kinda hate the fact that this is in so many Top movies list while genuinely great films like "O Padre e a Moça" are in none, or are rarely even talked about. oh well it's just the way things are i guess.dhop124
I was really hesitant to watch this because I thought it would be really depressing and I wasn't really in the mood for a depressing movie. I'm glad I watched it though because I ended up really liking this and the story was not dark like I thought it would be.ecnered

An entertaining story, and fantastic direction. But the characters are so black and white, so entirely 'good' or 'evil,' that their lack of depth makes the film rather uninteresting upon repeat viewings.janalima85

A moving story of grit, immense patience, test of friendship and survival in the most challenging circumstances and situations.I can watch this movie over and over again, for it's amazing screenplay, actors, story-line and narration.

This movie has the number one spot because NO ONE dislikes it. While I like it, it is the definition of inoffensive. Even The Godfather puts SOME people off. This movie is very difficult to fault, but I would be curious to see how many people actual think it's the best film ever made, vs. The Godfather or the like.jerichoholic
