Overrated or not. It's a nice movie anyway. I just don't think that Fincher's style suits to that kind of story/genre/type. :)galactic_mice
idk if many people will think this film is overrated. as for me, it's a great film and worth to watch. i don't really care about how the technicalities of facebook growth but what i saw in this film is the friendship-betrayal relationship between Eduardo and Mark. this film is inspiring people to look closely on how simple idea can lead to greater one. and I love Jesse's performance, i think he should play a character of a debater sort of thing. he's good.justanotherfrog
I don't know if it deserves the zillion awards it's already won, but I certainly can't deny that I left the theater with a huge grin on my face. May be a bit overrated, but it's still one of the better films of 2010Kiste
Good but not great.Sometimes boring.
Yes, it's overrated.

I guess that the good parts comes in the sequel, so overrated and by the way i hate fucking justin timberlake appearance.frankqb
This is a film that quite grew on me the second time around. I began to see what people were talking about with Jesse Eisenberg's performance. It's subtle, but he says a lot with tiny gestures and his posture. If you focus on the ambition/vengeance, new business model in an old business world side of the story, the film is much more interesting.I can't agree more with @Eddyspeeder though. I would have liked to have seen this movie made in another 5 to 10 years simply to delve into deeper issues of social change, but, it's possible by then that something like Facebook could be gone.

@stellaslove I agree with you totally. It was done well by the filmmakers but ultimately it's not all that entertaining of a story.Eddyspeeder
Interesting movie, I feel it inspires to start one's own business. My main criticism is that it seems as though it was made too early; it unnecessarily culminates to the settlements rather than to the changes in our psychosocial landscape now and possibly in the future. Anyone else think there was too much emphasis (throughout the movie) on how 'unfriendly' all the main characters are?Three tracks on the soundtrack are from the free Nine Inch Nails album Ghosts, in this order: Ghosts I-7, Ghosts I-2, Ghosts II-5. I'm not really sure why this film got such great reviews.. It's a good movie, not great - I wouldnt watch it again and I was a bit bored in parts. Maybe I would have liked it more if I hadn't had such high expectations? Go see Black Swan instead.. now there is a movie that blew my mind!St. Gloede
