Reminded me of The Ice Storm (1997).. The acting's good and really a good drama film (film-making wise), but it does not have any value story-wise.
Don't know why Criterion loves such films which are cheap in its content (sexual immorality). It's a movie that gets nowhere and does not convey anything, sadly.
[ Think I have to be more careful when I pick Criterion films to watch next time ;-) phew! ]

I agree with Armond White that Noah Baumbach is basically a massive douchebag. This film is absolutely dreadful. An elitist pice of crap that has no place on any top lists...

Raw, raw, raw. Very realistic. It's not funny at all (I don't understand why some people describe it as funny).
Real consequences of 'fluid relationships', lack of boundaries, commitment, and love. Divorce experiences from the inside, mostly from the children point of view.
