Can't believe I wasted 2h of my life on this movie. How do you make a movie starring Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn and end up with something as boring as this?

I mean compared to the first one it's practically DC's magnum opus. Unlike the original, this one knows why the balance between seriousness and lunacy is so important when even attempting a film like this. It touts itself as a popcorn movie and so you can just sit back and go wherever the maniacal current takes you. If you take a far enough step backward, you kind of realize that comic book movies in general are a zany concept from the get go, James Gunn knew this and just capitalized wholeheartedly.

Leave your brain at the door because this is too dumb

BUT very entertaining, lots of violent action but BEYOND stupid/silly. Much better than the first one......

The whole project starfish was one step too much for me though....

Ok dumb action movie

"I'll kill every man woman and child to get peace" - Peacemaker.

Great line and there were more.

The film is fun but the CGI was too much even if it was fairly 'effect'ive.
Brutal gore from the start and often 'what am I watching?!'.
Pace was ok, no qualms with acting. Decent action. Not much peril. Gutted a scene I have wanted to make was innovative here.
Average 5/10 but people will keep watching this, I wouldn't again. I had to rewind when they say 'three days earlier' as I missed it and was confused by the next scene

I liked it, but then I adore Margot Robbie's Harley. Giant starfish was a bit surreal and I was on the verge of 'what the hell is this s**t.!' but then the killing started so it was okay again.. :)

It is surprising how the director James Gunn is mixed many different characters, violence, humor, sentimental moments and the DC world in the right amount so You will get a tasty cocktail. You must see it to believe it.

Based on The Suicide Squad, James Gunn might have felt restrained by the MCU's house style. He has much more fun VISUALLY in this one, which takes its cues more from Birds of Prey than any other DCEU movie. Fun POVs, chapter titles hidden in the action, a sense that this is a comic book - a hyper-violent one - without smothering it with slow-motion "art shots" that make the whole thing meaningless (we know of whom I speak). Gunn manages to juggle a large cast and give everyone their due, fully playing up the absurdity of a superhero world and yet wringing exciting action and touching moments along the way. Like, I KNOW what the character is tearing up about is absolutely silly, but I tear up with them. Wha--?! And unlike some of the humor in other superhero movies, I don't feel like any of them go on too long. Harley is as usual a highlight, but the movie makes me care about characters for whom I never spared a thought before, which is pure Suicide Squad brand (at least the Ostrander era, which is the gold standard). And that's very much required if any of the deaths (and threats of death) are going to have meaning. Huge R-rated fun and, without giving anything away, the most important role Javelin has ever played in any medium.

Fun, violent, suprising and actionfilled! One of the best comicbook movies ever!
Harleyquinn and King Shark were the absolute highlights!

And people, stop comparing the two SS movies, they are way to different. This movie really holds its own.

Fresher, funnier, crazier and more violent than most of the competition (not even to begin with DC and the earlier Suicide Squad disaster), but could have needed a better story and more ambiguous protagonists. Last act felt a bit tacked on, while releasing some more colors and nuttiness. Overall a good job by James Gunn - who never forgot his Troma roots! - with unused potential to reach Guardians tier...
