I saw this film 25 years ago and loved it.
Got hold of the soundtrack on cassette copy with the ST of Betty Blue, and played that tape to death.
I rewatched both recently and although I didn't think much of BB this one holds up really well. 9 years ago -

I expected a philosophical film, commenting on adult themes like sexuality and relationships. Instead I got an empty, lengthy and boring experience leaping between scenes with sex, nudity or sexual innuendo and scenes showing direct and indirect oppression in communist Czech Republic. The film's biggest weakness is the lack of interesting characters despite a great cast. The film's punishingly long running time add to the misery. Very disappointing. 9 years 8 months ago -

One of my favorite books and my favorite actor. I totally agree with mariasofia, everything I like to say she already said in the previous comment. 11 years 6 months ago
