It's not terrible actually, and definitely not an 1.7, but more like a 4 or sth. Funny enough, since its relation with Michael Bay's Transformers is minimal, it looks more like an unofficial sequel to Bruno Mattei's Terminator 2.

I liked how despite the title, Transformers is one of the movies this one rips off the least. There's definitely a lot of ripping off going on though. I saw a lot of Terminator 4 and The Matrix in this, conceptually.
The "special effects" are inexcusable. There are far too many amateurs out there that have shown how creativity and devotion can lead to convincing effects with almost no budget. You'll find none of that in Transmorphers - beside the obvious "almost no budget". A low budget is also no excuse for the world's most terrible fight choreography between two or more human beings and random (and worse: inapplicable) slow motion bits thrown in.
The acting ranges between "OK" and "It buuuurnnnss!!!"; it's really what you'd expect, nothing more. No complaints there.
I like a well-made B-movie, or even a not-so-well-made B-movie with redeeming qualities but I haven't found any redeeming qualities in Transmorphers. Let's hope Transmorphers 2 is better. 12 years 4 months ago -
