Well, the whole planet is forcing me to watch it, you guys turned me off even more...I mean enough already with the vampires! music books tv and films even if there were real vampires I'm sure they've had enough since Buffy! And I mean the '92 movie.
Based on the other testimonials i'd say this movie is more a chick flick than a guy thing. Because of different tastes, we have different movies. Some to like, others....
I honestly can't remember watching a movie where I laughed harder than this one. It's so awkward, I mean holy vampires playing baseball level of awkward. It's not so much the acting that is subpar (Pattinson in particular can certainly act), it's the dialog that is oftentimes as clear as mud. There are so many instances where characters are speaking to each other as if entire sentences in the script were just skipped over. Not only that, but the body language of both Stewart and Pattinson is incoherent and rarely matches the jumble of lines they are trying to deliver. It's not nearly as bad as the mountains of negativity fired at it but it was certainly good for buckets of unintentional comedy. I honestly have no regrets.
I can't find any redeeming qualities about this series whatsoever. The acting is horrible. The plot is laughable. The direction is uninspired. This is designed for an audience that knows nothing about film making. I'm not not really sure how anyone finds this entertaining. This could be the worst movie franchise of all- time.
