Wasn't too bad, it's the fourth film in the series and you should know by now what to expect. Yes, it's vampires vs. werewolves, killing each other left and right in an ever present grey-blue tint. No surprises here.
I thought it worked rather well. Kate is gorgeous as ever.
You can pretty much figure out the plot during the narrated intro. It is what it is, and doesn't pretend to be more. Grab your popcorn and enjoy.

I was a bit 50/50 about this one, as an Action film it was good, outside of it kinda felt sloppy and underwhelming.

As the Underworld series goes, the first one is definitely the best, but this was about on a par with the second, and streets ahead of the needless third.

Not that good compared to others, however there is potential for it to be a good transition to the next serving.

What I don't get is how Kate Beckinsale managed to move around (let alone play superhero fighter) in such a tight leather outfit! haha
I love Underworld, so, I don't mind the lack of "believability" of this sequel.

With every film from the Underworld saga I'm amazed how they manage to piss on both the vampire and werewolf lore and every time with some new, inventive way so that in every film there's at least 2-3 plot holes or moments when the movie logic is just too whack, which are bound to make your brain hurt in ways you didn't even know existed.

The first film was the worst, not because it's the worst film of the bunch (because it isn't) but since you don't really know how bad it's going to be and expectations run high and all you want to do is scream in frustration from the beginning to the end.

After the initial shock and disappointment, the rest of the series are actually quite enjoyable, after you realize these are not traditional vampire vs. werewolf films, but pure action and meant for brainless entertainment, not for serious existential ponderings of mortality and morality.

So all in all, was I disappointed? Yes. Was I entertained? Yes. I'd say it's an even 50/50.

If you're looking for good action with vampires, I'd suggest you check out Blade trilogy instead, where the action is more believable and there's more oneliners with several supporting actors who actually have more than 2 lines total.
