Now that I've successfully completed my 1 hour+ of new employee orientation training, I really hope I get assigned to "welding the big ring" or maybe "tapping a furnace". Anything, of course, except "winding an armature".

This is actually a series of 21 three-minute films, available here: http://memory.loc.gov/ammem/papr/west/westhome.html

Shouldn't all the individual films be checks on the National Film Registry list?

I know the imdb link lists a certain video with 3 Westinghouse films, but you can't check this unless you watch all 21 films in the National Film Registry collection. (sorry rohit, no shortcuts)

Follow the links on the wikipedia page

2. Assembling and testing turbines
3. Casting a guide box
4. Coil winding machines
5. Coil winding section E
6. Girls taking time checks
7. Girls winding armatures
8. Panorama exterior
9. Panorama of Machine Co. aisle
10. Panorama view street car motor room
11. Panoramic view aisle B
12. Steam hammer
13. Steam whistle
14. Taping coils
15. Tapping a furnace
16. Testing a rotary
17. Testing large turbines
18. Welding the big ring
19. Westinghouse Air Brake Co. (casting scene)
20. Westinghouse Air Brake Co. (moulding scene)
21. Westinghouse Air Brake Co.

Finally got the chance to see all 21 films (it's about an hour of viewing). Thanks to all responsible for the easily accessible links!

The youtube clips do not include the third segment according to the user review description on imdb.
"the third segment shows a "quittin' time" shot of the factory gate with the workers hurrying home"

The youtube clips seem to be the same collection as the one monoglot links to. The imdb entry refers to a different collection with only three Westinghouse Works clips.

Can anyone verify if the third, untitled film is titled on YouTube?

According to IMDb:
First part is the Panoramic View Aisle B (1904), and the second film is Girls Winding Armatures (1904). The third film is untitled as it is uncopyrighted.
