Supposeably
Wasn't a fan of the Tom Hardy performance - accents don't seem to be his strong point! Very similar to his performance as Ronnie Kray in 'Legend'. I'd always pictured Benicio del Toro when reading the book. Not sure how much he know about Yorkshire though... 5 years 9 months ago -

Tom Hardy makes for the most convincing Heathcliff I've seen thus far but he's SO good and brings SO much passion to the role that everything and everyone else pales in comparison - which makes the whole adaptation suffer. All in all it's a worthy version of the book, though IMO still too light handed an interpretation. 6 years 3 months ago
