In which Wolverine travels back in time in an attempt to prevent The Last Stand and Origins from ever being made.

Great film. Well paced, wonderful special effects, very well constructed set pieces and manages to tell a grand story without being convoluted. Only major flaw was some characters didn't get the screentime or character development they deserved, such as Quicksilver and Storm.

A very respectable entry in the series, remarkable for the number of high-caliber and Oscar-winning actors on screen. Touted as a cross-over between old and new, the plot mostly features Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) spending time with the younger counterparts of the X-men. For example, while Oscar-winner Halle Berry is in the movie, she might have one or two lines tops.

Excellent sound-design, a (mostly) solid script, clever editing, fun effects, the film is a comic-book movie through and through that far outdoes the ridiculousness of The Avengers.

Great actors and a very solid story. It's not just a good vs bad scenario and it doesn't contain a single boring second. In "The Wolverine" I was really surprised by how little blood we see considering the amount of killings he does with his blades and It felt like they tried very hard to show the least amount of violence possible and that it wasn't a wise choice for that kind of movie. In this one it is far more balanced. Probably the best movie of the franchise.

This movie got a lot of praise when it was released, but I doubt it will hold up on subsequent viewings. The scene with Quicksilver is totally awesome, but the rest of the movie feels a bit lackluster. The plot is pretty convoluted, and Magneto's villainous motivations are, as always, confused and/or contrived. His actions and characterization always seem at odds: he simply strikes me as too reasonable and level-headed to want to murder innocent people in the pursuit of mutant equality. The action scenes are decent, as are the performances, but in general the movie feels somewhat insubstantial, which is surprising given the stakes.

Wishing we could check off the Rogue Cut version of this movie. Felt much more tied together.

Above average superhero fare that effectively juggles several timelines, multiple subplots and masses of characters, despite feeling a bit overstuffed and unoriginal. The real strength of this film is the number of high calibre actors: it's just enjoyable to watch them. I'm also happy that it nullifies the events of X-Men: Last Stand.

I've been out of the X-men movie loop for a long time but I felt this one paled in comparison to the original trilogy and wasn't super exciting. So many of the characters get little to no development too, especially Magneto who is treated like a one-trick pony. spoiler

Why the fuck did they release Erik? That was completely unnecessary. Magneto, my ass. His alias should have been Warmonger. Always looking forward to starting a war.

This was so fucking good, it's such a shame though that it relies too much on the previous films.

I was really hyped about this movie and i watched it on the premier day. I was really scared that it wouldn't live up to my expectations, but I was not disappointed. There wasn't any boring scenes and for me this movie was really enjoyable.

Wow! Who would have thought that a marvel movie could have made this DC girl so impressed. This arc in the comic was my least favourite tbh and somehow the movie took this story and made it awesome and believable and fun! It also doesn't hurt that it's about time travel :3
