Yakuza Graveyard, which came off like a Japanese version of Mean Streets. Kinji Fukasaku directs violence as totally chaotic, and you feel like you're there, but there are also some surprising flights of visual and textual poetry, especially when the beautiful Meiko Kaji (Keiko) is on screen.

It has some great sequences, but the story is rather daft. Still managed to deliver most of the things you expect from Fukasaku, but as Monty said, it's far from his best.

Fukasaku has made better movies than this.
