Don’t understand the negativity in the comments. Surprisingly smart and funny and Zoey Deutch is a natural comic.

Just as entertainingand hilarious as the original - and unlike what the writers did with Deadpool 2, it doesn't feel as much of a retread or tries to add things that undermine the fun. A highlight is Zoey Deutch as a scene-stealing dumb blonde.

The last part is like Hardhome from GOT meets Alien 3.
I guess that's fine.

Lacks the inspired freshness of the first one, but warms up as it goes along and ends up a fun zom-com.

Plus it includes a scene where Grace Randolph is killed, so if nothing else you should love it for delivering a little wish fulfilment.

When I saw Zombieland 10 years ago, I said I was up for a(n unlikely) sequel. Now here comes Zombieland: Double-Tap! And it's much the same. Maybe the Deadpool writers have given it slightly more Deadpool humor, but it was already well on its way. What has also not changed is how much it feels like the episodic television show it was originally designed to be (as if a zombie show could last 10 seasons, nudge nudge). What's unfortunate is that a lot of its thunder has been stolen BY television shows broadcast since the original film. I was consistently reminded of both Ash vs. Evil Dead and The Last Man on Earth in terms of plot and tone. If at least it had acted like a series finale, but no, this time it has every hope of a Triple Tap, and refuses to fully arc its characters. Nothing really matters because despite all the opportunities for big change, we're headed for a reset button. Not to say there aren't good gags (both in terms of jokes and zombie killing), and I was happy to see Bill Murray integrated into the film - I was entertained - but it could have done with a little more ambition.

I find it funny that the first film came out a year before the whole zombie fad really started with The Walking Dead, and now the sequel comes out when it's already died out. I don't know anyone that still watches The Walking Dead.

The original was too soon and the sequel was too late. Shame because they were both good films.

Also funny how Emma Stone was just one of the girls from Superbad when the first one came out, and now she's one of the biggest names in Hollywood.

Good fun time kind of film but maybe a bit too similar to the first one. Little Rock is the only character that felt like a different person with a new kind of arc.

Also, stay through the credits!

Lastly, I just want to share a quote from a user review I saw on another site:
"If I hadn't fallen asleep I would have walked out. I'm giving this a 2 because I stayed till the end, 1 is for films I walked out on."
Presumably, any film this person actually watches gets at least a 3.

Uncancelled! Similar quality to the the first movie. Less originality, which tends to be the case with these sequels, but still a solid movie in the same vein.

Cancelled.

Edit 5 years later... NOT CANCELLED!

I'm very pleased that they overcame all the roadblocks encountered so the sequel could find it's way to us.
Thank the heavens it did, and hot diggity dangit, we got a real good one too!

This successor to one of the all-time greatest zombie flicks shows that sequels can be great, something that has been exceedingly rare of late.
Fans of the first movie really must grab this one. It is more of the same, obviously... and in my book, that's not a bad thing.

Definitely recommended!

Well filmclub clearly doesn't know what they are talking about.

The film was very average overall and shouldn't have been made. It's pure paint by numbers and has no originality.

Emma Stone is too big for this kind of role now.
