One of the best of the New Hollywood era, but not the single best of 1973. In my opinion, that honor goes to Paper Moon. But The Sting is surely one of the best con films of all time.
This is a fine little movie, but I imagine it would be pretty boring for most audiences. If you like gentle stories and a peaceful look and feel, this is a good one to watch.
