After playing the game, watching lots of gameplay videos and buying the art book, I was very excited when The Cuphead Show was announced.

However, I think my expectations were a bit too high... The script isn't great. I think if it was less aimed at children, it would've been an improvement.

On the bright side, the art does not disappoint!

It's great to see all the characters from the video game on the show.

I'm not sure if I would've liked it as much with other actors / actresses. Meaning that the movie would most likely not be strong enough on its own.

The beginning was unnecessarily long, but Cate Blanchett made up for it. I wish Toni Collette's character had a bigger role or at least a bit more personality.

The set and the appearance / performance of the cast was great!

This was extremely good. I usually don't care much about drama movies, but this one got me on the edge of a seat. I can highly recommend!

Acting is good, concept/story is good (although very predictable, unfortunately), but the scenes are long-winded which make them boring. The conversations between characters usually contain no important information and could've been shorter. If this is no problem for you, I can definitely recommend!

I watched it when it just came out and I binged it in a night or 2 so I can definitely recommend! I think it lives up to the hype, but I don't think it's a show for children/teens (even though they are creating the hype). I would say it's similar to Alice in Borderland.

However, it can be a bit bloody/gory. I listed the gory parts down below without spoiling too much:

If you're sensitive to animal gore: a dead fish is being chopped for a split second.

Good concept, but the acting wasn't very good and it looks like it was filmed with a cheap camera

I think it was pretty good. Very predictable, but the acting was perfectly fine! I can recommend.

Can be a tiny bit gory spoiler

This is definitely not as bad as the reviews on IMDB! I thought it was enjoyable, some things weren't very logical, but it's not as bad as a lot of other movies (such as cheap slashers). I can recommend it if you're looking for a movie, but can't find anything else :) I also enjoy non-English spoken movies a lot

I liked it! I don't like gore, but I think the twist was quite original and I always love me some good non-American movies. I can definitely recommend it! Midsommar / Hereditary lovers might like this as well :)

Amazing! If you love the movie Carol (with Cate Blanchett, 2016), you are most likely going to enjoy this one! It's very realistic and not your usual love story. I can 100% recommend it!

I actually liked this movie. It was relaxing to watch and it even had a deeper meaning. I wouldn't put it in the horror genre though. More thriller/fantasy maybe? I also think a 7/10 is a generous rating...

Anyways, the ''fungus monsters'' are an exact copy of the ''clickers'' from the game ''The Last of Us''. And the idea of eating a mushroom to prevent you from turning into a ''clicker'' is definitely very similar to the game ''SOS the ultimate escape'' (this game has been shut down and is unavailable to play) where you can get infected if you are hit by the ''monster'' in that game and you have to eat mushrooms to prevent from turning into that monster yourself. So, it's fun to see it in a movie form, but definitely unoriginal...

Still a nice movie to watch if you're looking for something different than the usual ''Hollywood'' movies.

It does not deserve the rating it has, in my opinion. It's a cheaper version of AHS.

American Horror Story is focused on gore and not so much on the scary / jump scare aspect which is very disappointing. I watched this when it was released and gave every season a chance. After season 4 it became a complete shit show. I do not recommend it unless you're a teen who lives for gore haha :')

This is so good! I'm going to watch it for the 4th time and I'm still excited. Not a huge fan of the gory parts, but so much better than AHS.

This was actually a good movie despite the title haha. Not very predictable (at least not at the beginning). However, the ending wasn't very good.

The acting, story, plot, etc. are bad. I wouldn't say it's a waste of your time, because it's kind of entertaining. However, don't get your hopes up.

I had high hopes for a movie that was created by the same people who made "Halloween" and "Insidious". But as a true horror fan, I do not recommend this at all. Beginning was good, but the 2nd half made it seem like they only had a day left to write the rest of the script. Disappointing.
